My Story
Scott & Machelle
My name is Machelle and this is my husband Scott and we are the owners of Small Town Scrap. My goal with this website is to give you the tools you need to preserve & organize your photos to be able to share your story. This page is to tell you a little bit about me and my story.
I grew up in a very small town in Central Texas with a population of about 1500. The nearest Wal-Mart was 40 miles away. My husband grew up in San Antonio, Texas, with a population of over 1 million. We have lived in several places over our 20-year marriage, but decided that small town living is the best. We do not have any children, so we both have always had animals. Currently we have 2 Siberian Huskies and 2 cats.
When I was young, my grandmother had a shoebox full of photos in the top of the closet & I loved to look through them while she told me who everyone was and where the picture was taken. Always a story about what they were doing or why they were together. When she passed away, I inherited the box of photos but couldn’t remember who the people were or why the photo was important. I did not want that to happen to my photos and that is how I started scrapbooking. I know that my story is important and being preserved.
Since we love to take pictures, our families have decided that we are the official photographers for all family gatherings and events. This could be anything from a general get together or holiday to a formal wedding and reception. These are the pictures that I scrapbook, for myself as well as gifts for family members & friends. I also scrapbook our everyday lives and lots of pet photos (cause they are so cute!). I try to make Birthday & Anniversary cards every year and fancier cards for special occasions. I have recently been learning more about digital scrapbooking and hope to make some photobooks in the near future.
I would love to hear from you so please leave me a message on the Contact Us page and tell me a little about YOU and what hobbies you enjoy. You can also follow me on my social media pages.
